Subject Librarians

Subject Librarians

Subject librarians are your first point of contact regarding library services. They provide research coaching, faculty orientation, offer course and subject specific library classes, and liaise with faculty members for archiving research in the Institutional Repository.

Victoria CaplanVictoria Caplan (lbcaplan@ust.hk / 2358-6756)

I am the librarian responsible for liaising with the Division of Social Science. I enjoy helping students, instructors, and staff find answers to their questions, whether it is how to use a particular database, or how best to find sources on a broad subject.

I enjoy working with faculty members to tailor-make library workshops for particular courses, to help students complete their course projects. Please take a look at some of the course guides and subject guides that my colleague Laam and I have made.

I wear other hats in the Library as well, which is why you can find me in my office in Reference. Stop by and say hello, or send me an email, or give me a call.

Laam ChanLaam Chan (lblaam@ust.hk / 2358-6763)
