You can now search the HKUST Library Catalog on your Android-based smart phone using a specialized Android App!

This application provides a simple interface for you to search the million books and other items in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Library. It is based on the RSS syndication features offered by SmartCAT, HKUST Library’s web 2.0 enriched library catalog system.
A simplified version of the My Library Catalog Account has been created for use by all mobile devices.
You can bookmark http://library.ust.hk/mpat on your mobile for access to your libary account, or use this QRcode.
Phone users are now able to search the HKUST Library Catalog via the m.HKUST application. This is a joint project of the Library and the Publishing Technology Center.
The m.HKUST application is available as a free download from the iPhone App Store via iTunes. m.HKUST is available for Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices.
Users can search for library materials, see the cover image, read a summary, obtain item availability information, find out which book shelf the item is on, and bookmark the item information for future reference. ITSC Logins Can Now Be Used for the Catalog and HKALL!
With a recent software purchase from Innovative, Systems staff have now rolled out the ability for you to log into your Library Catalog Account using your ITSC username/password combination.
This means that your ITSC username/password can now be used to request items from inside the Catalog, and also from the HKALL interface.
Users who do not have an ITSC login, including those who do not have an HKUST e-mail address in their patron record, will still be able to log in as before by using their name and barcode
