The Library closes on September 3, and the Learning Commons will remain open as usual.
Starting September 1st, the Learning Commons will stay open 24 hours a day.
After the Library closes at 11pm, please use your HKUST card to access the LC via the LG1 entrance.
As the Library enters Summer Break hours, the Learning Commons opens on Sundays from 10am to 7pm with card access control. Use your HKUST card to enter the LC on LG1.
If your card supports “contactless” operation, simply place the card on top of the reader to enter.
The Media and Microforms area on LG1 is now open 24-hour until May 29. Other floors close according to Library Hours
Starting March 25, you need your HKUST card to enter LC all the time. Please bring your cards.

The Hong Kong Observatory issued a typhoon Signal No. 1 last night. IF there is a Signal No. 3 later today, the Learning Commons will CLOSE tonight, at the same time with the Library at 11pm.
In the whole term, the Learning Commons opens 24 hours per day. The LG1 door will not be closed until the end of term, December 19 11pm.
Remember to bring your ITSC card to enter the LC during the Card Access Period.

The Alumni Library Card does not only let you borrow library books and media items, it is also your pass to the Learning Commons during the Card Access Period!
The Learning Commons opens 24 hours, 7 days a week during term time. When it stays open while the Library closes (i.e., the Card Access Period), users need a valid card to enter the facility. Alumni Library Card holders can swipe the cards at the barcode scanner at the left of the entrance gate to enter.
