Ex Libris 1

Library Exhibitions

Ex libris is Latin referring to a bookplate affixed to a book for identifying its ownership. It is believed to date back to the 15th century in Europe when aristocrats produced one of the first ex libris in books presented to monasteries as gifts.

The Library recently received a large and precious collection of maps, posters, books, and aircraft models from the estate of the late Walter R. Kent.
