Conducted in small groups, these tutorials help you make better academic presentations. You can learn alternative approaches to communicate with audience, bring up questions specific to your presentation context, and address individual weak points. Each session may go through 2 to 3 topics from areas including:

  • Making visuals
  • Building contents

Maximizing Web of Science for Your Research

Web of Science (WoS), a leading citation database, covers authoritative contents of over 18,000 high impact journals and more than 180,000 conference proceedings. This workshop will show how WoS can assist researcher’s workflow:

  • Locate high impact articles and journals
  • Analyze results to identify research trends and funding opportunities
  • Trace the development of a topic and discover related works

Digital Footprint & Online Identity: How Do You Manage?

In this workshop, you will learn how to::

  • Assess your own presence on social media and the Internet as information creators
  • Develop theories of useful and detrimental practices
  • Create recommendations for how best to manage public identity in an inter-connected world

Please bring your own tablet, smartphone, or laptop.

Students may attain 1 hour attendance in the “Wellness and Personal Enrichment” of the “Activities” module in the HLTH1010 Course. Please show your Student ID Cards on arrival and leaving the workshop.

Euromonitor Passport provides a wide range of data on business enterprise including consumer market sizes, consumer lifestyles analysis, company/brand analysis as well as market research reports, socio-economic statistics. This workshop will cover :

  • Navigate through the platform and understanding the content
