RAPID Book Chapter Delivery Service

Document delivery is not limited to journal papers, you can also request the Library to get book chapters for you.

UST Library has recently joined a new service – RAPID Book Chapter, in which member libraries supply book chapters to each other at no cost.

Currently, members include 46 U.S. academic libraries, with over 5 million titles available for book chapter requests.

The following are some highlights:

  • This service is for electronic delivery of book chapters, not book loans.
  • It is free and the documents are usually available in 2 to 3 working days.
  • Request book chapters the same way as you request journal articles using the HKUST ILLiad system.
  • Requests should comply with the copyright law, i.e. no more than one chapter in a book.
