Applicant should demonstrate that he or she has genuine academic research needs to use HKUST Library. Supporting documents, including a written description of the research and a recommendation letter (with signature and official stamp) issued by the affiliating university or non-profit making educational institution, are required. The applicant should also specify the kind(s) of information/resources that are unique to HKUST Library and cannot be obtained elsewhere.
Borrower Card
- The annual fee is HK$2,000.
- Check the Borrowing Policy for details of the borrowing privileges and rules.
Reader Card
- The fee is HK$500 per year and HK$250 per 6 months.
- Holders of this card have no borrowing privileges.
