Holds / Renewals / Recalls

Holds

You may place holds on checked-out books and media, and on 3-day and 7-day Reserve, or in process books or in process media.

A requested book will be recalled after two weeks. The requestor will receive a pick-up notice when the book is available.

You may place a hold on 3-hour Reserve materials by going to the Circulation Counter and making the request in person.

You can cancel a hold.

Renewals

You can renew books, media, and bound periodicals online. Check the Borrowing Policy for details based on user group and material type.

You may renew overdue items. The accrued overdue fine will be added to your user record.

Renewal will not be accepted if somebody has placed a hold on the item.

Go to the Library Home Page and renew the items via “My Account”. Take note of the reply message after renewal to confirm if the renewal has been accepted.

Recalls

All book loans are subject to recall after two weeks’ usage. If an item is recalled, a Recall Notice will be sent to you. The original due date may be shortened.

If the recall is cancelled, a Recall Cancel Notice will be sent to you with the original due date resumed.
