Book Supply

HKUST Library strives to deliver a high quality academic collection in all formats to advance effective learning as well as teaching and research excellence at the University.

• The Library maintains a list of booksellers and other vendors who supply library material.
• Companies that wish to be on the suppliers list in order to be contacted for quotations should email the Resource Management Unit at lbacq@ust.hk.

Book Donation – Conditions of Acceptance

Book gifts that are of good physical condition and support the current teaching and research programs of the university will be gladly accepted for review.

To help the Library check against duplicates and assess relevance, donors are encouraged to prepare a title list with basic bibliographic details such as author, title, edition, publisher, and publication year.

• The Library reserves the right to dispose of gifts not taken into the collection.
• Acknowledgment of receipts will be given only at the request of the donor.

Large Volume of Donation

The Library no longer accepts large volume of donation due to space constraints and e-preferred policy.

Media Donation

Due to change of user needs, the Library no longer accepts donation of physical media items such as CD, DVD, VCD, and Blu-ray.
