Qiang ZHU, born in April 21, 1955, is the deputy director of the Library, Peking University; and the Deputy Director of the Administrative Center, China Academic Library & Information System (CALIS). He is also a member of the Standing Council of China Society of Library Science; Vice Chairman, Beijing Academic Library Society; Vice Chairman, Academic Library Automation Group in Beijing Area and Individual Member, American Society of Information Science.
His working experience includes the vice secretary-general of the Secretariat of National Library and Information Committee for Universities and Colleges, and as a visiting scholar in the East Asia & Pacific Research Center, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
