British National Corpus
A 100 million word collection of written and spoken English Language from a wide range of sources, designed to represent a wide cross-section of current English. After a search, 50 sample sentences would be displayed. Useful for learning the English usage.

Unihan Database
An important database that contains information regarding the CJK Unified Ideographs (Unihan) which are a part of the Unicode Standard. Information provided for each character includes definitions, codes, phonetic data, variants, etc. Searching is currently limited to the definition field and six phonetic fields. Individual characters can also be accessed through the index.

Word Neighbors
Many word combinations in English are difficult. This frequently updated database gives you access to large collections of English texts, allowing you to search for contexts and grammatical patterns. Dictionary definitions and Chinese translations of the target word are provided. It is useful for improving the accuracy and fluency of written English. Better used with IE. WordNet
Developed by the Cognitive Science Laboratory at Princeton University, this interesting lexical reference system organizes English nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs into synonym sets, each representing one underlying lexical concept. An example sentence is given for each "sense".
