Placing Materials On Reserve

When Class assignments can only be completed by using certain library materials, faculty members should request that these materials be placed on Reserve (2 hour, 24 hour, or 3 day loan).

Place material on Reserve prior to giving out the class assignments. This will allow fair access to the items for all students in the class.

To Place Books on Reserve

For Books Available in the Library

Use one of the following channels to place a request:

Library staff would transfer the books from the Book Collection to Reserve, or make links to the electronic copies accordingly.

Books Not Available in the Library

  • Send a list of books to be purchased to lbacq@ust.hk, include the course name and number, and specify a loan period.

Library staff will try their best to obtain the requested material locally, but some might have to be obtained from abroad. Please submit the list as far in advance of the school session as possible to allow for sufficient time to acquire and process the materials.
