In addition to acquiring print and electronic books which directly support teaching and research at UST, the Library has also been building its leisure reading collection to promote reading for fun and enjoyment.

A prestigious book award in Taiwan, winning works of 中國時報開卷好書獎 are grouped into categories to suit different age groups and interests of readers. The Library generally acquires works under Creative Chinese Writing (中文創作).
