  1. Follow AACR2 1.6G2 and LCRI 1.0C (LC/CONSER Practice for Temporary/Uncertain Data, 2) Detailed guidelines for recording temporary/uncertain data, e) Series area) to record the series numbering when inputting a record to OCLC for a multipart item.

  2. If the series numbering is scattered, modify the record in INNOPAC in the way as shown below, so that the result of a search for the series title will list the numbers orderly.
      In OCLC: 490 1_ Series title ; ‡v v. 6/I-II, 8, 11
      830 _0 Series title ; ‡v v. 6/1-2, 8, 11.
      (Note: In principle, substitute Arabic numerals for roman. However, keep using roman if the substitution causes confusion, e.g., when roman and Arabic numerals are used in conjunction to distinguish the volume from the part. Use "vol." instead of "v." before a roman numeral. For example, Series title ; ‡v vol. IV, 36.)
