Who can login computers at the IC
Current students and staff members can login computers at the IC using valid ITSC accounts.
There are 4 printers on G/F. See printing service for details.
Can I print directly from my notebook computer?
Yes, use the G/F Printer A, D, or LG1 Printer A and B. You need to download the appropriate driver for that function.
How to set the printer to print on both sides, choose color printing, or multiple-page-in-one?
Use the "printer properties" dialog box to choose the setting.
I followed the procedure to release my print job, but the printer does not respond.
Possible reasons:
Why is the printout almost like a blank sheet?
This may happen when you print multiple pages in one. Make sure you select the "multiple-in-one" option at the "print properties" setting, rather than setting via the application software (usually Words and PowerPoint).
Can I release a print job that I sent yesterday?
You may release a print job on the same day anytime, but not overnight. The print server deletes the print queue when the Library closes.
Can I find a file that was saved at the IC workstation earlier?
Files at the "C drive" are erased after logout or restart; files at "D drive" are still retrieveble on the same day, but would be erased overnight. You should avoid saving files at the IC hard drives.
Can I plug an IC headphone at my notebook?
You may borrow a headphone at the IC Help Desk or Learning Commons Information Desk for use within the Library.
How do I scan a document at the IC?
You may use the scanning stations at the IC, or the G/F Printer A and D, LG1 Printer A and B for scanning.
