The time control is very good and the students’ presentation is very nice.
I appreciate students’ participation in the tour: doing research on the paintings and explaining the painting techniques to help us appreciate the aesthetic values of the paintings . I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. In the future, I would like to see more students’ involvement in similar tours.
It’s my first time to visit the 1st Floor of the Library and feeling great to have mini museum tour including the Special Collections Gallery, the Chinese paintings display and Sha Fei’s photos exhibition. Glad to know the good use of 1/F Hallway for the exhibition and looking forward to other type of display. HKUST Library is wonderful with good window views, books, arts and culture. Hope the students and staff can make good use of it. Thank you.
The students were very good. It can be seen that they have put efforts in doing research and writing up the script to introduce the paintings. Hope to see more similar activities in the future
I like the idea that the introduction this time is conducted by several students who have taken the art course. Their introductions were well prepared and they managed to point out features of appreciation, in comparison of the masterpieces displayed. Expecting more activities of the kind. It’s though at the beginning the assembly point was not obvious and nobody were there to show us the exact location at about 1pm. And that lunch break could be a bit too short to enjoy the rich context of the guided tour. Another thing about the exhibition is the hallway is not a wide enough to present the pieces, and the way which the paintings are displayed show less profession in handling of the audience’s view. Some pieces are shown even with stamps trimmed, without explaining why.
由學生擔任導賞員是非常有創意的方式, 希望以後多讓學生參與展覽導賞服務.
It is good to provide students with opportunity to apply their learnt knowledge and concepts via presentation.
Great activity!!!

Great thanks to the student guides who were well-prepared and able to show and spread their enthusiasm in the paintings. This has made the tour lively and enjoyable.
The tours guides can have more interactions wit the participants
可延長至 1.5 小時,並將活動安排於下午 6 時開始,因為職員日間時候需上班,未必能參加。
Actually it was really good. I couldn’t stay for the entire duration though. Also I have zero knowledge of Chinese paintings (which is why I came), so I wasn’t able to understand and appreciate the entire talk. A little handout in English might have helped. Other than that, it was very interesting and the speakers made a lot of efforts.
This event is great ! I hope that the library may organize another Chinese dynasty paintings or Western painting activities with guidance. Prepare some time for audience to ask questions.
Wonderful experience. Docents were very knowledgeable and cheerful. More interaction between docents and the audiences would have made the tour better!
guided appreciation tour by students makes it more interesting from just reading info from notice board.
