Four decades of Danny’s prime years were spent in aerospace science. He felt that he has restrained somewhat the global view of his horizon. Nonetheless, he has kept abreast of the art world with keen interest. In this talk, he will discuss his views and thoughts on the interrelation of science and art, starting from the late 19th century to the present days. After a brief review on the history of aerospace science and arts in the modern era, he will address the following questions during the talk:

  • Do Science and Art share the same origin?
  • What have been the mutual feedbacks between them?
  • What are the similarities and disparities between them in terms of their approach and format?
  • What are the unexpected and obscure landscapes he discovered in modern Science and Art?
  • His views of art, or Why does he paint?

Students will get course hours after attending the Talk for fulfillment of Healthy Lifestyle (HLTH1010) Course Requirements.
