Furniture Samples – What do you think?
Posted by Edward Spodick in Building Projects, Library NewsThe Library is starting to receive samples of furniture under consideration for the Library extension, and for the Learning Commons.
The furniture samples area is near the front of the Library, around the corner from the Reference Desk.
If you have time, please take a look and let us know which furniture you prefer.
More samples will be coming over the next several weeks, so check back later as well.

The blue arm chair looks nice. How about with green and other colours, but not red! We have too many red. How about bean chairs?
I hope you looked at the others we added as well – many, many good comments were received.
The blue one above was by far the most well-liked chair by all users, and we have taken your opinions into account. That is the chair we are purchasing for along the window wall in the Library extension.
I cannot promise that the final versions will be that shade of blue, as we are still waiting for fabric samples and for details of their safety and durability histories and ratings, and such. I can say they will not be red.
Thanks again for your thoughts!
p.s. I am told we really do not want to know how difficult is can be to get loose ‘beans’ out of the underfloor trunking.
