1. PowerSearch

PowerSearch is a new resource discovery tool which allows users to search multiple databases simultaneously. Currently, close to 100 resources are on PowerSearch, providing integrated access to e-journals, e-books, citations and abstracts. This workshop will show you how to:

• Select the most appropriate databases
• Perform simple and advanced search
• Retrieve full-text

2. SciFinder Scholar (Web Version)

SciFinder Scholar is the most comprehensive database of chemical literature, structures and reactions. It is an essential tool for researchers in chemistry, chemical engineering and biochemistry. The web version allows both on and off campus access and has a more user-friendly and advanced interface than the client version.

3. RefWorks

RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic management tool you can use to support your research activities. This workshop will show you how to:

• Import references from various databases
• Create in-text references using Write-N-Cite
• Format a bibliography or reference list in various citation styles
