Celebrating Traditional Festivals:
An Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Hong Kong

You are cordially invited to view the special exhibition currently
staging in the HKUST Library Gallery on traditional festivals in Hong Kong.
Featuring a rich array of photos and texts, stunning artifacts and a
multi-language video program, this exhibition showcases Hong Kong’s
unique cultural heritage while displaying the social and religious
activities held during the traditional festivals in Hong Kong. Visitors
will be able to have a taste of some traditional festivities; such as
the Fire Dragon Dance of Tai Hang (大坑中秋舞火龍), the Deities’ Parade
in Tai O’s Dragon Boat Festival (大澳龍舟遊涌) and the Jiao Festival of
Cheung Chau (長州太平清醮), which were submitted for an application of
the third national list of intangible cultural heritage in China.
Come to visit this extraordinary exhibition which will continue until 31

This exhibition is co-organized by the HKUST Library, the South China
Research Center of HKUST and the Hong Kong Museum of History.
