The University Administrative Committee (UAC) is an advisory body formed by and answerable to the President of the University, which assumed the functions previously undertaken by the University Cabinet. The Committee first met on 3 March 1992. The UAC is composed of the President, Vice-Presidents, and Deans; two persons nominated by the Senate, one as a liaison and one as a full-member; and the directors of the Finance Office, the Research Centre, and the Planning and Coordination Office. The Committee reviews University policies and procedures, the allocation of resources, the long-range plans for the institution, and deliberates about other matters on which the President may require advice; it also serves to disseminate information about University policies and initiatives throughout the institution.
